Can a Low Carb Diet Help Suppress Hunger?

Many dieters, including those who are trying to follow very specific diet plans, find one of their biggest complaints and obstacles to diet success to be the experience of powerful hunger pangs between meals - to the point that a lot of them feel like they are starving. When you eat them, your stomach gets full rather easily - and then the full stomach will cause a shout-out to the brain saying "hey I'm full! So stop eating already!" (It is important to note, that the my-stomach-is-full message is a bit slow being sent, which is one reason it's important to eat at a fairly slow pace: otherwise, you easily end up eating after your stomach is already full!

If you are a long-time dieter who has had multiple failures in the past due to irresistible hunger between meals, you should seriously consider giving a low carb diet (like the Atkins diet for example) an honest try. You may well find that past failures were due in large part to the vicious cycle of the carb craving followed by carb crash, and the longer you keep to a low carb diet, the less you will feel that powerful hunger that causes you to pig out and go off your plan.
